About the Facility

Presentation Studio

This hall-type studio seats 136 (with desk arm) and is used for lectures, symposia, and showings of industrial technology slides or video.


The library contains collections of materials related to industrial technology and design, the histories of companies located in Kitakyushu, technical reports, and visual materials. The collections are open to the public.


A place where visitors can chat, have a meeting, read, work, etc.

Open Space

This area can be used as a café in which visitors can relax and interact.

Event Court (outdoor)

Used for various events and outdoor exhibitions.

Project Exhibition Gallery

A variety of projects will be exhibited which fall under the theme of “Design & Innovation.”

Timeline Gallery

Technological improvements from the 1850s to the present are represented graphically on a timeline mural.
Notable events are explained on a plasma display using text, images and sound. (In four languages: English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean)

Multipurpose Space

Can be used for workshops, lectures, simple displays, and other events.


Equipped for metalworking, welding, woodworking, as well as 3D modeling.
Talks using actual objects and workshops to make these objects are held to teach people about technology, and for research and development.
